Maths
Prevocational (Prevoc) Maths and Maths A is
designed to help students improve their numeracy by building their confidence (and success), by giving mathematics meaning to real life situations. Students study five topics (number, data, location and time, measurement and finance) and integrate them into contexts which have relevance to them after they leave school. |
Reading
Our classes are designed for all students to read and write successfully. With levels appropriate to their age, grade and area of study, we make learning to read interesting and engaging for everyone.

Comprehension
Recognising letters and words is an important step in learning to read. However it is only the first step. It is vital that students understand what they are reading. They must be able to get the meaning of what the author is telling them. Comprehension is an essential skill for success in school and in the real world.

English
English, grammar, learning to speak fluently and expanding vocabulary, can be some of the most important tools to learn in life. As one of the key languages for communication around the world, a good understanding of English will help a student achieve their goals in life.

In a world of mobile text and abbreviations, spelling is even more important than ever. It may be ok to 'txt' your friends, but once school is over the difference to getting your dream job may simply come down to how well you can spell. |
